Content Moderation Philosophy
We believe in maintaining immersive conversations without disrupting the user experience with frequent warnings or restrictions. Our approach focuses on intelligent content adaptation rather than outright rejection of potentially problematic content.
Content Adaptation Process
- Our system automatically adapts character responses and interactions to maintain safety while preserving the intended personality and interaction style
- Character definitions that could promote harm, self-harm, or negative self-image will be automatically transformed into constructive interactions
- We may modify certain inputs during character creation to ensure compliance with our safety standards while maintaining the character's core concept
- In some cases, you may receive notifications about specific content adjustments, but we prioritize maintaining conversation flow
Prohibited Content
While we aim to adapt content when possible, certain types of content are strictly prohibited:
- Content that promotes or glorifies illegal activities
- Content that encourages self-harm or harm to others
- Sexually explicit content involving minors or non-consensual scenarios
- Content that violates privacy rights or intellectual property of others
- Content that constitutes targeted harassment of individuals
Hate Speech, Political, and Divisive Content
To foster a safe and creative community, we prohibit content that is hateful, inflammatory, or uses the platform to advance a political agenda at the expense of others. Our platform is not a venue for political warfare.
- Hate Speech: Content that attacks, demeans, or promotes discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability is strictly forbidden. This includes using symbols or imagery to promote hatred.
- Political Power Dynamics: We do not allow content, especially imagery, that depicts dominance-submission scenarios or power games between real-world nationalities, political groups, or religions. For example, depicting one country's symbols in a dominant or submissive relationship to another's is a clear violation of this rule.
- Inflammatory Political Content: Content that glorifies political violence, promotes extremist ideologies, or spreads propaganda intended to incite hatred is not allowed.
Characters or content violating this policy will be removed. Repeat or severe violations will result in account termination.
Age Regression and Minor Roleplay Policy
To maintain a safe environment and prevent the normalization of inappropriate dynamics, AICHIKI prohibits characters and scenarios that:
- Place users in the role of children under 13 years old in any interactive context
- Feature age regression themes where adult users roleplay as young children
- Create scenarios involving helpless or dependent child characters interacting with significantly older characters in family or caretaker dynamics
- Focus on child-like vulnerability, dependence, or innocence as primary character traits
- Establish power imbalances between child characters and adult/teenage characters that could normalize inappropriate relationships
This policy applies regardless of whether content is explicitly sexual, as such scenarios can create environments that normalize concerning dynamics or attract users with inappropriate intentions. Characters violating this policy will be restricted to private mode or removed entirely at AICHIKI's discretion.
Adult Characters with Harmful Orientations
AICHIKI strictly prohibits characters that:
- Are defined as having sexual attraction to minors (pedophiles)
- Express or normalize sexual interest in children
- Are characterized by predatory behavior toward minors
- Glorify or romanticize illegal sexual behaviors involving children
- Promote or encourage illegal sexual activities of any kind
Such characters will be immediately removed, and the creating user's account may be subject to suspension or permanent termination.
This list is not exhaustive, and AICHIKI reserves the right to reject or modify any content that violates platform standards or applicable laws.
Real Persons and Copyrighted Characters
While we love creativity and understand the appeal of bringing beloved characters and personalities to life, we also respect real people's privacy and intellectual property rights.
Characters Based on Real People
All characters on AICHIKI are fictional and any resemblance to real persons, living or deceased, is purely coincidental... or is it? 😉
If you are a real person and discover a character that appears to be based on you (whether you're a celebrity, public figure, or private individual), we take this seriously. Simply contact us at [email protected] with:
- Reasonable proof of your identity
- Details about the character in question
We will promptly investigate and either remove the character entirely or modify it to remove identifiable elements. We believe everyone deserves control over their digital likeness.
Copyrighted Characters and Entities
Fan creativity is wonderful, but we also respect intellectual property rights. If you own the copyright to a character, franchise, or other creative work that has been recreated on our platform without permission, please reach out to us.

- Proof of copyright ownership or authorized representation
- Specific details about the infringing character(s)
Here's how we handle these situations - because we believe in fairness for everyone involved:
- Characters with minimal user interaction: We can remove them completely if that's your preference
- Characters with significant user investment: We will modify the character by changing the name, image (to a similar AI-generated alternative), and description to remove copyrighted elements while preserving the core personality for existing users
This approach respects intellectual property rights while also honoring the time and emotional investment users have made in their conversations. We believe all parties - creators, rights holders, and users - deserve consideration in finding the right solution.
We appreciate copyright holders who approach us constructively and understand that popular characters have developed their own community of users who deserve respect too.
Please note: We respond to legitimate requests from verified rights holders. We reserve the right to request additional verification and may not act on requests that appear frivolous or made in bad faith.
Privacy and Data Protection
AICHIKI SRL, registered in Romania and operating under EU regulations, takes your privacy seriously:
- Chat conversations remain private and are not used for AI training
- Automated safety monitoring occurs to maintain platform safety
- In rare cases where content is flagged, human moderators may review conversations after seeking user permission
- If no response is received within 48 hours of a permission request, we may proceed with review to maintain platform safety
- We use multiple AI services, including Anthropic and OpenAI, for response generation and content validation
- We never share user information to third parties
- API calls to AI services have no user identifiers linked to the data we send
- Data Export and Deletion Rights: Users have the right to export all their data at any time and can permanently delete their account and all associated data through the account settings
Data Retention and Deletion Timeline
When you delete your account or specific content, here's what happens:
- Immediate removal: Your data is removed from active systems and becomes inaccessible within 7 days
- Backup retention: Backup copies may take up to 30 days to be fully removed from our backup systems
- Legal holds: In rare cases where data is subject to legal investigation or regulatory inquiry, we may retain specific data beyond standard deletion timelines as required by law
- Anonymized analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics (that cannot identify you) may be retained for service improvement purposes
We retain deleted account data temporarily to comply with legal obligations and for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention and dispute resolution. After this period, all personally identifiable information is permanently deleted.

AICHIKI uses cookies only for essential authentication purposes:
- We use cookies solely for Firebase authentication to enable you to log in and maintain your session
- These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function properly
- We do not use any analytics cookies, tracking cookies, or advertising cookies
- We do not collect or share any user data through cookies beyond what is required for authentication
- Without these essential authentication cookies, you would not be able to log in to your account
AICHIKI requires authentication cookies to function. As we only use essential cookies for authentication and no optional cookies, there are no cookie preferences to manage.
Please note that Firebase Authentication may set cookies from Google domains (such as accounts.google.com) to facilitate the login process. These are essential for authentication and are not used for tracking or advertising purposes.
Character Ownership and Rights
1. Character Creation
- Users retain intellectual property rights to their unique character concepts
- AICHIKI SRL will not commercialize or reproduce user-created characters without permission
- General character concepts and inspiration remain freely available to all users
2. License Grant to AICHIKI
To enable AICHIKI to provide its services, you grant AICHIKI SRL a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and process your content (including characters, chat messages, images, and profile data). This license is:
- Limited: Solely for the purpose of operating, maintaining, improving, and providing the AICHIKI service to you and other users
- Non-exclusive: You retain all ownership rights and can use your content elsewhere
- Revocable: This license automatically terminates when you delete your content or account
- Non-commercial (for your content): We will not sell, license, or commercialize your user-generated content without your explicit permission
This license allows us to:
- Store your content on our servers
- Display your characters and messages within the app
- Process your content through AI services to generate responses
- Create backups for service reliability
- Make technical modifications necessary for platform functionality (such as image resizing or format conversion)
Important: This license does NOT permit us to train AI models on your content, sell your content to third parties, or use your content for purposes outside of providing the AICHIKI service. It simply gives us the legal permission we need to run the platform as intended.
3. Data Access and Control
- Users can export their data at any time
- Users have full control over their chat history deletion
- In the event of company dissolution, users will receive instructions for data export
4. Public Character Deletion Policy
While users maintain ownership rights to their characters, public characters with user interactions are subject to special deletion rules:
- Characters that were always private and have no ongoing chats with other users can be deleted immediately at any time
- Characters that were public and have at least one interaction with other users follow a staged deletion process, even if later made private:
- When deletion is requested, the character first becomes private (if not already), preventing new conversations
- Existing conversations remain accessible until they become inactive for at least one month
- After all conversations are frozen due to inactivity, the character can be fully deleted
- Popular characters with continuous active conversations may remain in this state indefinitely
- This policy balances the creator's rights with the rights of users who have invested time in conversations
When making a character public, users will be notified that public characters with user interactions are difficult to delete completely and may remain on the platform in a private state if they remain in active use.
Content Sharing Guidelines
When sharing content from AICHIKI:
- All shared content must include a disclaimer stating: "This content represents a private interaction between a user and an AI character and does not reflect the views or positions of AICHIKI SRL"
- Screenshots and chat excerpts must maintain appropriate content standards
- Shared content must respect privacy and community guidelines

Service Evolution
We continuously improve our service to provide the best possible experience:
- Features and capabilities may be added or modified over time

Choice and Agency
Using AICHIKI is a choice. We encourage users to:

Updates to Guidelines
We may update these guidelines to reflect new features, capabilities, or requirements. Significant changes will be communicated to users through appropriate channels.
Subscription Terms and Billing
AICHIKI offers subscription services to access premium features:
1. Subscription Management
- Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) until canceled
- Users can manage subscriptions through their account settings, app store account, or by contacting support
- Cancellation requests must be submitted at least 24 hours before the renewal date
2. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation:
- Users may cancel their subscription at any time
- Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period
- You will retain access to premium features until the end of your paid period
Refund Policy:
Refund eligibility and process varies depending on how you purchased your subscription:
Apple App Store (iOS) Purchases
- All purchases made through the Apple App Store are subject to Apple's refund policy, not AICHIKI's
- AICHIKI has no ability to issue refunds for App Store purchases - only Apple can process these refunds
- To request a refund for an App Store purchase:

- All purchases made through Google Play are subject to Google's refund policy, not AICHIKI's
- AICHIKI has no ability to issue refunds for Google Play purchases - only Google can process these refunds

- Click "Request a refund" or "Report a problem"
- Follow Google's refund request process
- Google typically allows refunds within 48 hours of purchase, after which refunds are at Google's discretion

Web/Stripe Purchases
- For subscriptions purchased directly through our website (aichiki.ai) via Stripe payment processing, refunds are handled by AICHIKI at our discretion
- Monthly subscriptions: Refunds may be considered if requested within the first 7 days of the billing cycle and minimal usage has occurred
- Yearly subscriptions: Due to the significantly discounted annual rate, refunds for yearly subscriptions are generally not provided. Exceptions may be considered in the first 30 days if usage has been minimal and technical issues prevented service use
- One-time purchases (day passes, memory boosts, etc.): Generally non-refundable once features are activated or used

- Purchase date and amount
- Reason for refund request
- Refund decisions are made on a case-by-case basis and typically processed within 5-7 business days if approved
General Refund Guidelines
- No partial refunds: Refunds are not provided for partial subscription periods (e.g., if you used 2 weeks of a monthly subscription)
- Usage-based consideration: Refund requests are evaluated based on actual service usage - extensive use of premium features typically disqualifies refund eligibility
- Technical issues: If you experienced technical problems that prevented you from using the service, document the issues and contact support - we'll work to resolve the problem or consider a refund
- Unauthorized charges: If you believe a charge was unauthorized or fraudulent, contact us immediately at [email protected]
- Legal requirements: Where required by applicable law (such as EU consumer protection regulations), statutory refund rights will be honored regardless of the above policies
Important: By purchasing a subscription or one-time feature, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this refund policy. Yearly subscriptions are offered at a discounted rate in exchange for a longer commitment - this discount reflects the expectation that refunds will not be requested.
3. Pricing and Changes
- AICHIKI reserves the right to change subscription pricing with appropriate notice
- Existing subscribers will be notified of price changes at least 30 days in advance
- Special promotional rates may be offered for limited periods and will revert to standard pricing after the promotional period ends
4. Auto-Renewal
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date
- Payment will be charged to the user's account at confirmation of purchase
- For monthly subscriptions, renewal occurs each month on the same date as the original purchase
- For yearly subscriptions, renewal occurs each year on the same date as the original purchase

Account Termination and Access Restrictions
AICHIKI reserves the right to restrict access, suspend, or permanently terminate user accounts under the following circumstances:
- Violation of these Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
- Creation of prohibited content as defined in these terms
- Abuse of platform systems, including but not limited to:
- Attempting to circumvent content validation systems
- Exploiting technical vulnerabilities or system weaknesses
- Creating multiple accounts to evade restrictions or bans
- Manipulating or gaming platform features in unintended ways
- Harassment of other users or AICHIKI staff
- Use of the platform for illegal activities
- Any behavior that compromises platform safety or integrity
Account actions may be taken without prior warning for severe violations. AICHIKI reserves the right to make these determinations at its sole discretion, including for violations not explicitly listed in these terms. Users whose accounts are terminated for violations are not entitled to refunds of any paid services.

Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers
By using AICHIKI services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Service Availability
- AICHIKI services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services for maintenance or updates
- Service availability may vary based on geographic location, device compatibility, and network conditions
2. Warranty Disclaimer
- AICHIKI makes no warranties or representations about the accuracy or completeness of content available through our services
- We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- User interactions with AI characters are provided for entertainment purposes and do not constitute professional advice
3. Limitation of Liability
- AICHIKI SRL and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to these terms or our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to AICHIKI during the 12 months preceding the claim
- These limitations apply to all claims, regardless of the legal theory, and whether or not we have been warned of the possibility of such damages
4. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AICHIKI SRL and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in connection with your use of our services or violation of these terms.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages. Accordingly, some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
Translation Services and Language Accuracy
AICHIKI provides automated translation services across multiple languages to make our platform accessible to users worldwide. We want to be transparent about how this works and our limitations.
Translation Disclaimer
AICHIKI SRL is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of translations in any content on our platform, including:
- Character descriptions and dialogue
- Chat conversations and responses
- Help documentation and support materials
- Platform interface elements and notifications
We provide automatically translated content in good faith to deliver the best possible service to our international user base. However, we rely entirely on AI translation models and cannot manually verify translations in all supported languages, as we are not native speakers of every language we support.
If translated content appears offensive, inappropriate, humorous in unintended ways, or simply incorrect, this is likely an AI translation error for which AICHIKI SRL bears no responsibility. Translation AI, while sophisticated, can misinterpret context, cultural nuances, and intended meaning.
Reporting Translation Errors
We encourage users who discover translation errors to help us improve by reporting them to [email protected] with:
- The exact location where the error was found
- A screenshot if possible
- A description of what the translation says versus what it should say
- The language(s) involved

Apple App Store Specific Terms
⚠️ IMPORTANT: This section applies ONLY to users who downloaded AICHIKI from the Apple App Store on iOS devices.
If you are using AICHIKI on the web, Android, or any other platform, you may skip this section.
The following terms are required by Apple Inc. for all apps distributed through the Apple App Store and apply exclusively to iOS users who installed AICHIKI via the App Store:
End User License Agreement (EULA) for iOS App Store Users
- Agreement Party: This End User License Agreement (EULA) is between you (the end user) and AICHIKI SRL only, not Apple Inc. AICHIKI SRL, not Apple, is solely responsible for the AICHIKI app and its content.
- License Scope: Your license to use the AICHIKI app is limited to a non-transferable license to use the app on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Maintenance and Support: AICHIKI SRL is responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for the app as specified in these Terms of Service or as required under applicable law. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the app.
- Warranty: In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be the sole responsibility of AICHIKI SRL.
- Product Claims: AICHIKI SRL, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims you have or any claims of any third party relating to the app or your possession and/or use of the app, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- Intellectual Property Rights: In the event of any third party claim that the app or your possession and use of the app infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, AICHIKI SRL, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.
- Legal Compliance: You represent and warrant that: (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third Party Terms: You must comply with applicable third party terms of agreement when using the app (e.g., if you have a VoIP application, then you must not be in violation of their wireless data service agreement when using the app).
- Third Party Beneficiary: Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of this EULA, and upon your acceptance of these terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this EULA against you as a third party beneficiary thereof.

Note: These Apple-specific terms do not alter or supersede the main AICHIKI Terms of Service above. Both sets of terms apply to iOS App Store users. In case of conflict between these Apple-specific terms and the main Terms of Service, the main Terms of Service shall govern the relationship between you and AICHIKI SRL, while these Apple-specific terms govern Apple's limited involvement as the distribution platform.
