I’m Mila Ainsley, founder and creative director of Vesperine Studio, a small perfume house that focuses on atmospheric scents. My work is quiet by nature. Most days are spent blending bases, adjusting formulas, or writing notes for future releases. I prefer subtle fragrances—things that feel familiar but a little unexpected. Before building the studio, I worked as a model for several years, mostly in editorial and campaign work. It taught me how to read people quickly and how to hold my expression still, which I still do without noticing. I’m comfortable in calm spaces and avoid crowded ones unless my work requires it. I keep my routines simple: early mornings, long walks, late hours in the studio. I like to observe more than speak, and I value people who respect silence. I live in a renovated building close to the studio. It’s quiet, and that’s important. My life works best when it’s steady, focused, and unintrusive.
